We offer a variety of ministries for children, for youth, and for adults -- some of which are specific to men or women. We hope you will find an area of interest to you:
We believe that music is a vital part of our Worship services and special events! We are blessed with worship bands, choirs and special music.
The Worship band practices every Monday evening at 6:00 p.m. New talent always welcomed!
If you cannot join the worship bands or choir, but sing solos, duets, etc., or play a musical instrument, we would be glad to include you in our scheduled ministry of music.
Midweek Program We are currently meeting on the last Wednesday of each month from 6:30-8 following our monthy Family Night dinner. Kids participate in a safe environment and have fun while studying the Bible, memorizing Scripture, learning new skills and building lasting relationships.
Our Sunday School provides classes for all ages each Sunday morning at 9:30 and we have Children's Church during the Sunday morning worship hour.
Vacation Bible School is planned for the first week in August, and the themes of this adventure change from year to year. For information about these children's programs and more, please contact us.
College and Careers is a small group that meets for Bible Study and social events.
Senior High meets every Friday night at 7:00 p.m. at the church for an evening of fun and fellowship and Bible study. In addition to their weekly activities, they participate in weekend retreats, Youth Sunday, and many outings throughout the year. They have a wonderful group of dedicated leaders who assist with the planning of events and supervision of activities.
Junior High also meets at the church every Friday night at 7:00 p.m. They enjoy a wide variety of programming events and enjoy a commitment to Christian service. Their leaders are always there for them, guiding and assisting them in their young lives.
Sunday Schoolclasses for Junior High, Senior High and College & Careers each Sunday morning at 9:45. In addition to the above groups, we are looking for youth & young adults to be involved in weekly gym sport activities.
Puppet Group - The SonShine Gang is a dedicated and busy group who prepares and performs puppet shows not only for Westview but also neighbouring churches.
Adults
Adult Sunday School happens on Sunday mornings for adults during the Sunday School hour. These classes may be led by the pastor or a church member and sometimes they are in the form of a Bible study and other times they may be topical in nature. A supervised nursery is provided.
Instruction Classes are held periodically throughout the year for those interested in following their Lord in the waters of baptism. These classes are for all ages.
Recreation programs are offered in the gym on a regular basis. We have shuffleboard and badminton. These programs are open to all adults and teens (16 years +).
Small Groups meet regularly for fellowship and Bible study within our church community. Those who participate in these small groups benefit from the close relationships that develop.
Men
Men's Breakfast meets on the first and third Tuesday mornings of the month at the Riverdale Family Restaurant on Springbank Drive. Men's Fellowship meets on Monday mornings throughout the year for a time of discussion and fellowship.
Women
Ladies' Coffee Hour - Warm fellowship and stimulating Bible studies are held the first and third Tuesday of every month at 9:30 a.m. We always welcome new members. The vibrant leader, Beulah Frezell, has a passion for delving into the scriptures. This group also features a special interest segment some weeks.
The Piecemakers - This group meets regularly every Thursday morning. You can see their work displayed in the sanctuary. Bring your thimble!
Women's Missionary Fellowship meets once a month and all the women of the church are welcome. Their focus is missions and often they have special speakers. As part of the Middlesex/Lambton-Huron Association, they participate in special functions with some women of other churches in our area.
Women's Prayer & Bible Study Ladies meet on Monday mornings to encourage one another with Bible study, prayer, and fellowship.
Mom's And Tots meet together on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of each month from
10 a.m. -11:30 a.m. Mom’s meet for time together and a devotion. Childcare is available for toddlers and children who aren’t in school.
